navigate the river waters.
There are various grades
of water available for Rishikesh Rafting.
As the grade increases the difficulty levels also increase. Grade one consists
of water with small and easy waves and no obstacles; grade two offers moderate
difficulty level; grade three has high irregular waves, narrow passages and
requires skilled maneuvering; grade four is more challenging with very powerful
waves, and obstacles and requires very precise and skilled maneuvering; grade
five is the most difficult with violent waves and very narrow passages.
Shivpuri and Brahmapuri have a water grade level 2-3, Marine drive has a
difficulty level of 3-4 and Kaudilya has extremely challenging waters.
River
Rapids
Before the rafting
expedition, a river rafting expert guides the participants with a short
training, safety instructions and preparation. The organizers have high quality
rafting equipment and the participants are provided with protective equipments
like life jackets and helmets. During rafting in Rishikesh, there’s an
opportunity to hit various river rapids like Sweet Sixteen for grade one,
Hilton and Terminator for grade two, three blind mice for grade three, roller
coaster and golf course for grade four, Daniel’s dip, double trouble, Wall,
T-off, clubhouse, and black money.
Rafting
season in Rishikesh is from February
to June and again from September to December mid. Water rafting is unavailable
during July and August as it is the Monsoon season and the water level keeps
rising and there’s also an increase in the water flow current.
